Mahindra & Mahindra has announced the integration of Dolby Atmos technology into its Electric Origin SUVs, the BE 6 and XEV 9e, marking the first collaboration between Dolby and an Indian automaker.
This integration aims to enhance the in-car entertainment experience by delivering immersive, high-quality sound. Passengers can enjoy their favorite songs in Dolby Atmos through the Gaana app, which is integrated into the vehicles' infotainment systems.
The BE 6 and XEV 9e are equipped with a premium audio setup featuring 16 Harman Kardon speakers. The front seats have three-way speakers comprising a tweeter, mid-range driver, and woofer.
The center incorporates Harman’s patented Unity Speaker design, while rear surround speakers provide mid-range sound. Additionally, a subwoofer and two ceiling-mounted speaker drivers contribute to an exceptional in-cabin audio experience with Dolby Atmos.
This collaboration sets a new benchmark for in-car entertainment among Indian automakers, transforming the vehicle cabin into an immersive entertainment space that brings consumers closer to the content they love.
