Samsung's Galaxy S25 series, unveiled on January 22, 2025, comprises three models: the Galaxy S25, S25+, and S25 Ultra. These devices introduce notable enhancements in display technology, camera systems, performance, and software features.

Display

All models in the S25 series feature Dynamic LTPO AMOLED 2X displays with HDR10+ support, a 120 Hz refresh rate, and a peak brightness of 2600 nits. The S25 and S25+ are protected by Corning Gorilla Glass Victus 2, while the S25 Ultra utilizes Corning Gorilla Glass Armor 2. Each device includes an ultrasonic in-screen fingerprint sensor.

Camera

The Galaxy S25 and S25+ are equipped with a 50 MP wide sensor, a 10 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 12 MP ultrawide sensor. The S25 Ultra boasts a more advanced setup, featuring a 200 MP wide sensor, a 50 MP periscope telephoto lens with 5x optical zoom, a 10 MP telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom, and a 50 MP ultrawide sensor. All models include a 12 MP front-facing camera.

Performance and Storage

All models are powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite processor and come with 12 GB of RAM. Storage options vary by model:

• Galaxy S25: 128 GB, 256 GB, or 512 GB

• Galaxy S25+: 256 GB or 512 GB

Battery and Charging

Battery capacities remain consistent with the previous S24 series:

• Galaxy S25: 4,000 mAh battery with 25W wired charging

• Galaxy S25+: 4,900 mAh battery with 45W wired charging

• Galaxy S25 Ultra: 5,000 mAh battery with 45W wired charging

All models support 15W wireless charging and reverse wireless charging.

Software and Updates

The Galaxy S25 series ships with Android 15 and Samsung's One UI 7. Samsung has committed to providing seven years of OS and security updates for these devices, extending support until 2032. The series also introduces Galaxy AI, enhancing user interactions with advanced artificial intelligence features.
